On SEPTEMBER 19TH 2015 ,TELANGANA to be nominated for smart city, expanded health services in Hyderabad, the National Urban Health Mission has sanctioned 145 Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) in HYDERABAD. GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar on Wednesday said the city already has 112 UPHCs and steps are being taken to add 33 new centres in the GHMC jurisdiction.
on Friday in a metting held with National Urban Health Mission Director Budhha Jyothi Prasad, Mr. Somesh Kumar said that as per norms, the GHMC would establish additional UPHCs and also take steps to provide better services in all the 145 centres in HYDERABAD.
The National Urban Health Mission has released Rs.23.23 crore for the year 2014-15 for maintenance of health centres and sanctioned Rs.64.54 crore for the year 2015-16 to expand the health services in Hyderabad for Telangana as a smart city.
A survey was planned to get an opinion from citizens on the performance of UPHCs to provide better services and proposals have been made to extend health services till 8 p.m., according to a press release.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken a drive on Wednesday and removed encroachments from Abid’s junction to Bank Street Road till Koti-Andhra Bank junction in Hyderabad .Along the way, encroachments were also removed at Government Maternity Hospital, Ramkote, Kachiguda junction and also from Putli Bowli junction to M.J. Market, according to a press release here.
So as per the dream of the TRS party for being a Telangana as a smart city the drives were taken and improving the the facilities to the people and expanding the health services by the GHMC.
