“Digital India ” a dream project of Narendra Modi which was launched on July 1st has created a huge excitement among all the Indians . Not only indians but also Barack Obama was quite impressive by the projects which were brought into lime light such as Yoga and Digital India. Once the “Digital India” gets implemented the phase of India would be transformed into a highly Sophisticated one. This Project includes a huge budget of about 4.5 lakh crores and provides about for 18 lakh job opportunities.
Earlier it was believed that The government planned to rope in former President A P J Abdul Kalam as the brand ambassador for Digital India.Iconic people personifying modern technology are needed to spread awareness about Digital India. “We have reached out to former President A P J Abdul Kalam to be a brand ambassador. He is positive,” said a senior government functionary.When contacted, the former President’s office said they have not received any formal communication yet.
However, surprisingly Prime Minister Narandra Modi has hand picked himself and IIT JEE Topper Kruti Tiwari as a Brand ambassador of Digital India.She will now be associated with the campaign for the next one year.Kruti will be travelling extensively across the country spreading the message of Digital India. Kruti has stated that her joy knew no bounds and she dint expect her to step into the feet of Brand ambassador and she has also stated that “The Prime Minister wanted someone young. The PM wants to spread the message what government is doing about e-locker, e-scholarship that’s why he chose a young person. It is really important for students like us to know about e-scholarships, before we used to run from pillar to pillar. I will make my friends aware about all the services through social media.”
