‘Vehicle Mounted CCTV Cameras’ Launched by Hyderabad Police

ON SEPTEMBER 20 2015 as of 5:38 IST, Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy on Saturday launched five patrol vehicles, each fitted with three HD cameras for  coverage of processions and agitations.This was taken as part of the ‘Safe and Secure City’ concept. They plan to install the closed circuit cameras in 120 patrol cars in the city.


Hyderabad Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy said that this five vehicles with CC cameras will be stationed at various points on the occasion of Ganesh and Eid-ul-Zuha festival. The footage from the cameras will be collected by the Command and Control Centre for necessary action.

This  Closed Circuit Cameras provide a 360-degree panoramic view and have a capacity to store up to 15 days footage for security and safety.

As pervious  the incident taken place in Hyderabad regarding the accident to the Patroling car on the first day of its launch by CM KACR of telangana on Tank oreder to avoid this incidents in future the necessary steps has been taken by the Hyderabad commissioner with hd cc cameras in the patroling cars for safety as well as security.


Hyderabad Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy also inaugurated a Command and Control Centre at the Tank Bund in view of the Ganesh festival by the patroling cars with HD cc cameras fitted with in it.
